  FBA Problems

Author: Todd H

Hello,

My host is XP Pro (C: Drive). I create a D: drive (on another partition) so
that I can boot XPe from it (I followed the steps in the Microsoft online
tutorial). I have been successful in actually booting XPe using this method.
When I boot off my D: drive and FBA runs sometimes 2 bad things happen. I am
not sure if it is a hardware problem or a change to my build configuraiton. I
can't seem to isolate my problem. If I make a change and I get one one of
these errors and then I go back I still get them. The 2 problems I have are:

1) FBA starts and then it says something like INITIALIZING COMPONENTS (I
think it is the first step) and my system reboots. FBA starts again and the
same things keeps happening. Why does it reboot?

2) FBA chugs along for a while and then I get an "Application Error: Could
not write to address 0x00000000 (or 0x0000000c)".

I have tried re-installing XP and Target Designer but sooner or later I get
one of these 2 problems and I can't make them go away.

Could someone please advise what common root causes are for these 2 problems?

Thanks,
Todd
