I'm trying to use the sdimgr script to make copies of an image. I followed
the instructions found here:

Starting at the "Capturing the 'Golden' Image" section. And then running
sdimgr z:\golden.sdi /writedisk:0 /yes

The system is using a 2Gig Compact Flash card as hd0

Everything appears to work fine until the final step which results in an
Error that says "-2147467259 (0x80004005) in SDIQUT.SDIFile.1 The disk is
full"
Is there something i'm missing?

I have an old Win XP Embedded Installation on a server with SQL 2005 and
Windows 2000.
I have now made a new installation on a windows XP machine with MSDE.
I have made a backup of the repositories and database and transfered to the
new server. I changed the repository root and all locations for repositiories.
The Embedded installation is updated on both machines with SP2, Feature Pack
2007 and Update Rollup 1.

Now to my problem. When I take a basic build with only devices and a command
prompt components and make a build on the old server it takes 39 seconds.
When I build the same slx on the new server (faster nad newer hardware) the
computer hangs at the last build row (Visual C++ Runtime Libraries XPSP2 -
Security Update KB924667) for 50 minutes before it ends. The computer
completely freezes up, is unresponsive with ctrl-alt-del, taskmanager etc.
The image is 1MB larger on the new machine than the old eventhough its the
same repositories, slx file and database.

How do get the new installation to work as fast as the old?

I recently updated my PC with Service pack 3 of Windows XP
Since doing this, I get the following messages when I boot up.

( The procedure entry point apssearchinterface could not be located in the
dynamic link library wlanapi.dll )

( The procedure entry point aspgetready could not be located in the dynamic
link library wlanapi.dll )

I can guess that it has something to do with my wireless network, which is
fuctionin fine. I have a Belkin router would that have something to do with
these messages.

On every build I've done so far, I've had a white progress bar on
boot. On my latest one, I've not got that, I just get a blank black
screen (or windows startup screens if I take off the noguiboot) and I
can't see what I've changed. Anyone got any ideas?

I'm trying to verify that I can successfully backup and restore a XPe
database. This is what I did:
1. Using MS Backup, I backed up the entire "Windows Embedded Data" folder
from my current system, and my .slx files.
2. Built a VPC 2007 virtual machine and installed XPpro.
3. Installed SQL 2005 Express SP1 and the Embedded tools (up through
FP2007).
4. Stopped the SQL engine, restored the WED folder, shared it and restarted
SQL.
5. Fired up TD and opened a known-good .slx - configuration activated
without errors.
6. Told TD to build it.
7. TD reports lots of "file not found" errors. So I look at a component
where the files were not found, and see that the file length of the files is
reported as 0. But if I look for a missing file I find it in a repository.

I am trying to make the wireless connections persistent even if
the write filter is enabled. I am saving the following keys in a folder
and then rewriting them. The keys are as follows:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WZCSVC
HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\EAPOL
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\EAPOL

This worked for a couple of times and then the wireless adapter said
that it could not find any wireless networks in range. If I re-installed
my unit again it works fine. Do I have to overwrite any other keys apart
from the ones I have mentioned above?

I'm using hardware with the Mobile Intel(R) 945GM/GU Express Chipset Family.
I'm looking for the traditional extended desktop funtionality, which does
not appear on the Windows Display Properties panel. The Intel Graphics
Media Accelerator driver for mobile includes options for "Twin" or "Intel(R)
Dual Diaply Clone", which both act like clones. It seems to me Twin should
give me extended desktop but it does not, perhaps there's a missing Windows
component? I've looked for a potential missing component but found no
results uisng the search terms "extended" "monitor" and "multiple". Does
anyone have ideas how to get extended desktop working on XPe?
