Author: קרן
Date: Dec 31, 2006 04:52

I have installed NetBEUI on win XP.
Now I am trying to do import Nbf.sys, and Netnbf.inf files in the Designer
component.
The Netnbf.inf has been imported, but when I am trying to import Nbf.sys, I
get an error :
"File import failed while processing file. The file type does not supported
or the file does not exist" .(and it is exsist).
How can I import it?

Thank you,

I am trying to change the bootscreen of my installation, I used the
"/bootlogo /noguiboot" switch and I placed an file (boot.bmp) in the windows
folder. This works but I can't see the progressbar (I wan't it to be at the
same place as normally). Any ideas?

Thanks for any response,

Cloning an Embedded XP image to a larger CF card

Author: Isaacs.Chris
Date: Dec 29, 2006 14:34

I am trying to copy an existing Embedded XP image from a 1GB compact
flash card to a larger 2GB compact flash card. When I copy the files
over to the new card and boot, I get this error message when Windows is
starting:

A problem is preventing Windows from accurately checking the license
for this computer.
Error code 0x80070002

After doing some research, I think that Windows doesn't recognize the
size of the new CF card, but how do I fix this? Is there a file
somewhere in the image that I can modify? I don't have the original
development platform, all I have are the files that were copied off of
the original card. I've seen some people suggesting using Target
Designer, but I don't have this program.

Anyone have any suggestions as to what I should do?

Here is some information on MSDN about Dirids:

http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/aa506030.aspx
http://msdn2.microsoft.com/en-us/library/ms790174.aspx

You need to add all help files in the configuration - this means unchecking
the "Do not copy help files for this configuration" in the Configuration's
Settings->other settings. Just enabling the components help file will not do
it.

Thank you for your reply! I didn't know about the option copy help files, so
now i checked it for all my printer driver components.

Im still confused w/ paths, though. The "Edit Component File Resource"
window on my PC shows %%52%% = C:\WINDOWS\system32\spool\drivers\w32x86, not
%%66000%%, it doesn't list %%66000%% at all. Where can i find it?

  Destination paths in Component Designer

Author: flamey
Date: Dec 29, 2006 09:54

i tried to create HP LJ4x50 printer driver component from .inf file of the
driver that came with the printer. the files it added for the component have
destination path of %%66000%% and %%66002%% - what are they, is there a list of
all path i can see?

after i built this component (my first try creating a omponent), added it to
the DB, added it to our image, build release image and installed it on the
system, i tried to add a printer with a new driver, but it asked me for the
files. it was looking for them in the c:\windows but i found them in
c:\windows\i386 . can i set the path where its looking for these file in the
component? how is it done?

thanks in advance

Hello group,

After FBA has completed I add script files that will run on startup,

Does anyone know how to do this automaticly during fba?

TIA
