  Cannot save folder view

Author: Guus Ellenkamp

I cannot save my folder view it seems: when I change certain options, like
show file extensions, next time I logon it goes back to default. Could it be
a group policy?

  xp theme

I decided some time ago to change my theme to classic. Now I want to change
back to xp style and it's disappeared! I can't seem to find it anywhere.
Could I have uninstalled it by accident? It isn't where it's supposed to be
in the properties theme tab. I am stumped!

Explorer: show "View"->"explorer bar"->"tip of the day" by default

Author: Dirk Schwarzmann
Date: Feb 6, 2008 14:15

Hi everyone,

I´d really like to have the window "tip of the day" open by default
whenever I start the Windows Explorer. But whatever I´ve tried, the next
time I start WE, the window is closed and I have to manually open it again.
Is there a way (maybe a registry hack or else) to make WE remember that?

TIA,
Dirk

  Task Bar Clock

Author: cleo
Date: Feb 4, 2008 11:59

My computer at work just started showing the day of the week on the second
line instead of the date. I don't want the day of the week. I need the date
and I don't want three lines in my task bar. My computer at home shows the
time and date. I seem to remember there is a place where you can tell it what
to show. How do I change it so it matches my computer at home?
