After a power outage last week my son's Dell Dimension 2400 won't boot, light
in front flashes amber, it makes no noise at all, but the green light is on
inside. The hard drive is fine (checked on another PC). Before I buy a mobo
for it, I just want to know if there's anything else I should check. Thanks
for any feedback.

Save As in My Pictures - always uses Thumbnail View

My applications insist on opening Save As > My Pictures (and Save As >
My Videos) in Thumbnail view. As these folders contain scores of
subfolders I want to browse quickly, that's not appropriate for me. Is
it possible to change this behaviour please? IOW, open these 'special'
folders like all my others, in LIST view?

  Custom user profile

I have created a custom user profile (named test) in the Windows XP SP2
shared PC.How to configure such that all user will use the same user
profile.

That mean,
Regardless which Domain user login to the PC, it will not create a new user
profile, the PC will always load the 'test' profile which i had created in
the PC.
