View of My Computer Window

When I open the MC window I don't have the views I usually have. I'm missing
the blue panel on the left hand side. It's shaded blue and it's usually
divided into 3 sections. They were/are titled:
System Tasks
Other Places
Details
each with a double chevron that allows you to condense or open that section.
(listled above). Can someone please tell me how to get that blue section?
Thanks

Open My Computer.
Click on Tools on the toolbar at the top of the window and select Folder Options
from the menu.
Note: You can also launch Folder Options through Control Panel.
On the General page of Folder Options make sure "Show common tasks in folders"
is selected.

Good luck

Thanks, an easy fix if you know how. I looked in that area but didn't notice
that option.
