The DVD is shiny clean.I received it from Technet Plus, less than two weeks
ago and I got this error right at the first time I tried to autorun it.I can
very well browse the contents of the disc.It is just the autorun that is not
working,I guess. There is no question of cleaning the DVD drive as other DVDs
work fine.
Many thanks for the same.Out of the four causes given on that page for this
error to occur,I find it reasonably safe to assume that cause 1 would not be
in picture here, since this is a very good TechNet Plus DVD.I do not expect a
corrupt/bad file to be in this DVD.All other DVDs I received in my Technet
Plus shipment are running fine. Also, the file pointed to in the AUTORUN file
located in the root directory does exist. It is not missing.
As for cause 2,I have tried compatibility settings one-by-one for Microsoft
Windows 95,Microsoft Windows 98/ME,Microsoft Windows NT and Microsoft Windows
2000.All of them give this same error.
As for cause 3,there is no reason to believe that could be the cause. This is
Microsoft Technet Plus media.
I eliminate cause 4 since other DVDs run fine.

I already did that and therefore came to know that the autorun target
executable is not missing. It does really exist. If I try to run that
executable manually instead of auto-running,I get this very same error, except
that in the error,D: gets replaced by D:\AUTORUN\SHELEXEC.EXE,since now a
particular file is being attempted to be run instead of the whole disc
auto-playing.

Yes,this indeed helped a lot,but my problem stays as it is.I hope I have
provided all the requisite information you need.
