Hello,
can I use the Win XP Pro 64bit version with the Intel Core2 Quad Q6700?
I read on the producer web-site that I can switch the processor beetwen 32
and 64.
It could be?
Could I use also 32bit software with Win Pro 64bit version?
Thanks in advance

I've installed visual basic 6 as a domain admin on a windows xp sp2 system.
The program opens fine when i (domain administrator) open the program.
However, "DAO350.dll failed to register error" occurs whenever any other
user logs in.
I've located the dll and given it access to everyone with full control,
but this hasn't fixed the problem.
i've also tried to un-register and re-register the dll but that fails as the
user.
is there a proble with permissions of a key in the registry due to the fact
i installed as a higher permission account?
if so. how do i fix this please?

1. System folder opens during startup
How to resolve the problem? Does using the PC on point software helps?
2. Hard disk access denied
(XP Home edition) Both C: and D: could nit be accessed via My Computer.
However, it can be accessed through the icons after expanding in the folders
tab.
Tried changing sharing permissions, but the option does not exist.
Is there is a difference between "Administrator" that is only accessable in
Safe Mode, and other profiles with full rights?

I used the cd set to recover stuff, now the system continues to work slow and
not work with software it use to work with. So now I feel that the only way
to get this computer working is to re-install the system software. In doing
so I have come to a window that lists the existing partitions on C:. It asks
if I want to delete partition, install windows xp (if you select that it says
that you cannot have two operating systems on the same partition, so I did
not do that) or quit. Do I delete the Partition1 [ntfs] 38146 MB ,21953 mb
free>? and what do I do with the unpartitioned space 8 mb?

I'm trying a chinese game and I have a couple of minor issues. First,
characters should display in Chinese but they're coming out as other
characters. Weird ones if you'll ask me. Second, I can't type chinese. If I
type on messengers or Word, chinese characters are coming out properly but
not in this game.
Tnx in advance :)

The Help & Support Center advises to add icons to quick launch by draging
them from "My Computer" or "Windows Explorer". Unfortunately, I couldn't find
the IE "Blue E" or the OE "Envelope" anywhere in those two locations. They're
in the Start Menu, but they won't drag and drop from there (there's a black
circle with a slash through it over the icon when this is attempted). The
answer is probably easy, but I'm stumped. Thanks for any help.

it runs my cpu at 100%%. it freezes my computer. it causes my tower to make a
humming noise. it makes me crazy.
ive tried disabling every auto update on my computer, because i read it was
connected to either my norton, or windows update.
ive read most of the posts here at microsoft forums and used every tweak
posted.
[except for the sponsers link you up with a $30montly].
sometimes it runs, i can see it taking up all of my cpu power in my
taskmanager, but i can still open and run other programs....but at some
point, and most of the time, it will take over, and anything i click on will
"hang", or stop for minutes at a time, until the humming in my tower stops,
and then all of the things i clicked on will begin to open or start.
ive run my norton antivirus, spybot, ad-aware, and ccleaner, and they find
no kind of virus. i usually have use my task manger to "stop
process"...(there it goes again! it just kicked in again!!), to make it stop
so my computer will work freely.
what is this thing? where did it come from? how do i fix it?
ive been thinking about calling bill gates and paying him his 40 bucks, or
whatever it is, and have them try and fix it for me.
