every few days i find that explorer.exe suddenly uses a lot of cpu (> 30%%)
continuously. i noticed this on many machines in my office. i first noticed
this problem shortly after ie7 began showing up on desktops. i kept one
machine from getting ie7 and explorer.exe never took much cou. then one day
someone downloaded and installed ie7 and then explorer.exe started using a
lot of cpu on that machine. any thoughts on a fix ?

this is my second post for this issue - hoping to somehow get it
resolved...hope this is OK.

In case this is helpful, today I noticed that Uninstall Information folder
and WindowsUpdate folder are both empty.

For Windows XP Home Edition SP2

I don't know whether or not this is the right newsgroup but I have had
tremendous trouble in getting an answer through numerous searches.

Yesterday I set up an account for my wife. We were able to log on and off,
switch users and operate normally. This morning when trying to log on to my
wifes account we got an error message saying that the security log for this
account was full and only adminstators could fix it.

All well and good, but how?

Can anyone help please

Can any one help. I have lost all my program bars in my task bar. I still
have my system bar and quick launch bar but have to navigate through open
programs using the Alt+Tab method. Does anyone know how to get them back.
Have tried adjusting the Task bar properties but to no avail.

Thanks

  briefcase cannot find files

I am using Windows XP with all the server packs, etc. I set up a briefcase
on my notebook that connects to our server. I tried to open a few files on
my notebook and I get an error message saying the files cannot be found.
However, I can change those files on the server and update them in the
briefcase!? Also, I am able to open other files. I looked in the Windows
area for similar problems and this discussion group but did not find any!
Any help is greatly appreciated.

thanks,
