Error message "Windows Update was disabled by your system administrator".
Article 326686 says to run gpedit.msc. Error msg says cannot find. Search
indicates has been removed from XP Home. How do I enable Windows Update.
Tried reinstal of Explorer but did not help.

I apologise in advance if I'm not in the right forum - it's hard to pick.
Anyway, I don't know what has caused it, but I can no longer open a folder
with a d-c. If I right click, 'search' is at the top, followed by 'open'.
I can still d-c on program shortcuts, my computer, etc.
The only change I can think of is downloading the new google earth beta.
Any help greatly appreciated.

Can you help? I have a new hp Tablet with Windows XP and My Documents won't
open. It has an error that reads "the newtowrk document etc. is unavailable."
It won't allow me to install a new program I've downloaded. Any help
appreciated. Thanks.
