Hello, how are you?
I have an HP pavillion zv5380us. yesterday I turned off my laptop and today
in the morning when I tried to start it, it powers on but doesn't do anything
else. the CD ROM makes some noise like trying to find some info even if there
is no disc inside. The screen is completely blank like if it wasn't working.
I tried with the Operative System disc and it doesn't work either.
I removed the ram and it didn't work.
Can you help me please?

When I attempted to setup a home network between my desktop and laptop I
found the laptop had no Shared Documents folder. The laptop works fine in all
other respects using both Office and 3rd party applications. Is there a way
of re creating the Shared Documents folder without having to restore and
rebuild the laptop.

Does anyone have any suggestions on how many people can access the shared
files for XP at the same time? In office, there are 35 people, and I would
like to setup XP for file sharing, based on the accessibility limitation for
XP, I have maximum 5 PCs for sharing. Does anyone have any suggestions on
how to plan the network structure?
Thanks in advance for any suggestions
Eric

Dell Inspiron B130 suddenly developed the habit of not coming back on when I
close the lid and then reopoen it. The hard drive is still active, even
though the screen is completely blank. I am able to access it remotely. The
only way to get the screen back up is to put it into Standby, then wake it
from standby. I have tried changing the options in power control panel to
When I close the lid do nothing. I have tried turning off hibernation. I
reinstalled updated video drivers and chipset. I updated and flashed the
BIOS. I even did an update from SP2 to SP3. I am running Windows XP Home.

Hello - I have Quicktime 7.4.5 running on a 64 bot machine (Running Windows
XP, Professional x64 edition, V. 2003, SP 2).
I need to uninstall Quicktime so that I can a do a new install of the
Quicktime Alternate.
The basic Add/Remove program "successfully removes" Quicktime, but when I go
to run the Quicktime Alternative installer, it fails to start with an error
message, "Setup detected you already have Quicktime installed. You must
unistall Quicktime before you can install Quicktime Alternative."
Any thoughts?

Since a suspected virus attack, I have a problem related to Windows loading
to the Welcome Screen. When the Progress Bars stop on the Windows Logo, it
takes 60 secs to get to the Welcome Screen. This is something new, only since
aa apparent Virus Attack. Can you advise what files could be affected and how
to correct the cause of this annoyance. FixMBR, FixBoot, SFC , Chkdsk have
not helped.
Also, but not neccessarily part of this problem, First Boot hangs during
BIOS Memory Test, Re-Boot is successful.
Win XP Pro SP2 ++++, P4 3.0, DDR400 4Gb on GA-81PE775Pro with GeForce 6600GT.
Any suggestions would be rather helpful. I have had this before but have
mislaid the fix.

SP3 installs without a problem and reboots when completed. The problem
appears after the computer has been shutdown and when turned on again it
boots and freezes at the "Windows is starting up" screen. There are no error
messages and can be booted in safe mode. Any ideas? I have exhausted all of
mine.
