Directshow and WMF streaming to windows media server Authorization?

Author: itekchandru

Hi Friends,

Now I am currently developing a application that can capture and
stream video in asf format using Directshow and WMF sdk. I' ve done
local streaming using IWMWriterNetworkSink interface in WMF SDK. But
When i try to stream to windows media server using
IWMWriterPushSink interface, i couldn't do that, because windows
media server authorization is very difficult to understand. And i
looked the WMF sdk help to stream to WMS, they are telling to
implement IWMStatusCallback and IWMCredentialCallback interface. I
dont know the idea that how to implement these interfaces to interact
with my application? Can anyone help? urgent..... Thanks in
advance......

Dynamic playlists: can WindowsMedia Server check for updated ASP content?

Author: Bruno Gianardo

Hello everybody,
I got a puzzling issue using WindowsMedia Services with dynamic
playlists.

On my WMS 9 server I defined a set of Broadcast Publishing Points:
each one of them has got its own .wsx playlist, the "media source" of
which is a different .asp page.
Let an example set the matter straight: "publishing_point.wsx" is
structured as follows:

Hi,

you can instruct WMS to look into directory for WMV files, but it
won't be able to seek archive in progress. And also, it won't sync
with stream. It will just start from start of file.

How to protect MMS or HTTP or RTSP stream from leeching?

Author: justin4u

I am new to windos media server.

I saw so many web sites Running their Livestreams (Paid) or Free.

All in Most can be seen from web source(html) and can be use on any
other site.

like mms://domainname/pp

I WANT TO MAKE A NEW SERVER FOR STREAMING. BUT WANT TO PROTECT MY
STREAM THAT CAN BE PLAY ONLY INTERNAL TO MY OWN WEBSITE
MEDIAPLAYER(WINDOWS MEDIA PLAYER ONLY).

So any users can see the MMS:// (Address) from(Html) source or from any
source. He can not play my stream to OWN Windows Media Player or Embed
them to any other site.

What Should I Do for this?

Pm me I can give you the Example who did it and You can not play or put
that mms on your own server or WMP.

Thanks in advace becasue I am Totally new to WMS 2003 .

Justin.

  streaming while recording using DirectShow

Hello, I have a directshow application which captures video from a
camera or TV tuner. It currently writes WMV using the ASFWriter
filter. I'm considering purchasing windows media server so I can
stream content as I'm recording to a web browser/silverlight.

Is it possible to configure windows media server to look at a
directory and stream any WMV files within it even if my application is
currently writing to it? Or is the only way to publish live content
using windows media encoder? Or is there another way?

thanks,
Tuviah

How To Secure My Windows Media Services Stream In My Webpage in Wi

I have a Windows 2003 Server that is capturing the stream via Windows Media
Encoder and sending to my other Windows 2003 Server at my hosting company via
the broadcast point. I have the stream embedded on a webpage that lives on
that server. How can I lock down that stream so that no one can view the mms
feed other than viewing it through my webpage?
