If your still having the channel not changing, Try disconnecting the
infrared that came with the box then the Channels will change..
At least that is what happened to mine..
Comcast told me i needed a new remote and that it would tke 7 - 14 days to
get a new one so i played around with everything and unhook the infrared and
gee it works now..
So it must be the infrared is bad in the box or not programed right!
Good luck to all that have the same problem...

  Internet TV & Windows 7

Is there any way of adding to Windows 7 a URL from a TV web site that
broadcasts via the internet?

For example, Windows 7 already comes with a number of Internet TV sites
pre-programmed. I'd simply like to add my own URL, say from one of the
over 3,000 wwitv.com internet TV streams.

O.K.... but there is no extender software available for Win7 Media Center.

Therefore, you still have to have a fully functional computer. The most
that a "Net-top" will be able to do is map your PICs, Videos, etc.
You'll still be install a TV tuner card to watch TV, and this becomes
quite complicated and expensive if you have Satellite or digital cable
since you'll need an additional receiver (more subscription costs), not
to mention wiring, IR emitter, etc.

Frankly an extender is simply and the least costly. Just plug it in and
you're running (live TV, PICs, Videos, Internet TV, etc).

I think the best way for you is to reset windows password.
try these free windows password reset methods:

This is from ATI's site:-

Ref:-
http://support.amd.com/us/gpudownload/Pages/index.aspx

If one selects Windows 7 64-bit Edition > Radeon > Radeon x700 Series

"Note: AMD's DirectX 9 ATI Radeon graphics accelerators are not officially
supported under Windows 7. If the user chooses to, they can install the
ATI Catalyst Windows Vista graphics driver under Windows 7. Please be
aware that none of the new Windows 7 graphics driver (WDDM 1.1) features are
supported (as the Windows Vista level graphics driver is limited to WDDM 1.0
level support). Using the ATI Catalyst Windows Vista driver under Windows 7
is not officially supported by AMD, and as such AMD will not provide any
form of customer support for users running in this configuration"
