I am going to be guessing here but.. VS2008 stuff is NOT part of standard XP Pro (any SP) and thus it is not part of XPe either. Until the VS2008 runtime support files become a part of a XPP update (probably will be something related to .... they only contain the VC 6.0 files. When will these components be updated to contain the VS2008 (and VS2005) runtime files?

I've finally located the VC++ runtime support/SxS files in Software : System : System Services : Application Support. But even with the Feb 2008 patches, they only contain the VC 6.0 files. When will these components be updated to contain the VS2008 (and VS2005) runtime files?

I would like to create an addin using the new VS2008 and WPF if that is possible. Anyone tried this that could give any pointers would be appreciated. Thanks, Dave
