.Net Web Applications Developer

Developer for a contract lasting from July, '08 through June, '09;
they are looking for a Web Applications Developer to work on The
Accounting Web Team. Are you interested in or have experience working
on an agile team? This is a great opportunity to work in a fast
paced, rewarding development style to expand and maintain existing
applications. If you are an expert with Microsoft technologies and
enjoy using agile practices, this could be the next project for you.

Deliverables
* Time estimates for completing tasks
* Design documents for applications or components (such as class
diagrams, component diagrams, sequence diagrams, UI design, web
services design, etc)
* System documentation
* Fully functional application software components (such as Windows
Forms, Web Forms, web services, stored procedures) using the .NET
Framework, VB.NET, ADO.NET, and Transact SQL.
* Applications Documentation and code stored in Visual SourceSafe
* Knowledge transfer to staff through system documentation, weekly
updates, and formal/informal presentations.
Mandatory Skills
* Senior-level experience (5 years) in the development of web-based
applications using ASP.NET, VB.NET or C#, .NET Framework, web
services, ADO.NET, MS SQL Server and Transact SQL.
* Experience in object-oriented analysis and design, modeling and
development.
* Capability and commitment to document and transfer knowledge of
their work.
* Ability to work directly and indirectly with other team members.
* Available to work in Olympia or Tumwater, Washington for the
duration of the project.
* Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Desired Skills
* Experience with the development of employee travel and expense
management applications and/or accounting applications.
* Experience in the design, development, implementation and
consumption of services within a service oriented architecture.
* Experience in trouble shooting and performance tuning web based .NET
applications.
* Experience developing reports using the Crystal Reports designer.
* Experience in the development of web-based applications using Visual
Basic, Active X components, HTML/DHTML, Active Server Pages, MTS, MS
SQL Server and Transact SQL.
* Experience in packaging and deploying Web based applications across
the Internet/Intranet to Windows desktops running MS Internet
Explorer; building middle tier Visual Basic COM business objects
utilizing MS IIS and MTS.
