2008 x64 RC0 on Windows Server 2008: corrupting Registry ACL

Hi,

During the uninstall (only one error during uninstall) and consequent
attempt to reinstall, this problem became overpowering:

UNKNOWN\Components\ED5A1858634ADA74CB7C34093F647BA2\7EAF5CDF7D2BE2E42BDFEFC2D234F37B.
Verify that you have sufficient access to that key, or contact your support
personnel.
Configuration status: Passed

Based on my experiences and the logs - it may be faster to reinstall from
scratch including W2K8.

I am assuming this is not production and can be done?

This prolem was resolved by installing the released version of MSSQL 2008.
