Can Forefront utilize the same SQL instance that comes with WSUS 3? Does one
have to purchase SQL Server 2005 to use Forefront?

  No 2008 Server Support?

Author: David Glienna

Noticed that it said 2003 w/SP1 or LATER, so I assumed... ;)
Tried to load the ISO, and it warned of incompatibilities, and asked me if I
wanted to run anyways. I declined...

  Re: IAG2007 sp1 - RDP porblem

Hola Amigo. There are two ways to publish RDP, one with port forwarding and
the other one with soket forwarding. If the client station has the socket
forwarder component installed, it will always open RDP this way (no matter
what you specify in the trunk). In the port forwarding mode, the connection
opens automatically (and you can only access one server) but in the soket
forwarding mode you need to write the server's name manually or specify and
Initial server in the trunk configuration.

If you want to try the port forwarder you need to unisntall or block the
socket forwarder at the client side (you can use the system information
button on whale toolbar to do this)

Hope this helps

Any help greatly appriciated.

Funny file saving and deletion behaviour after Forefront implementation

Author: Hii Sing Chung

I experienced very funny behaviour towards file saving and deletion process
after Forefront was installed. When users open up files on the file servers,
make changes and save, some of the times the save didn't save - that is when
user re-open the files, the files were in the state before the changes (same
as the last time the files were opened). If users delete files, some of the
time, the files were returned intact, almost instantly. If users move files
to another directly, some of the times these files were returned back to
their original folders, as if nothing happened.
For files on local hard disk, I found that it also has this behaviour when
the files are large. I tried to delete a 3.6GB file yesterday on my
computer. It showed the deleting progress and the file deleted but almost...

  Antigen's SpamCure Strength Level Settings?

Author:
Date: Jan 9, 2008 23:51

Hi,

We are evaluating Antigen 9. Working nice, but can't find Strength Level
Settings for SpamCure engine.
Using Exchange Intelligent Message Filter you could set Spam Confidence
Level from from 1 to 9. Is there something for SpamCure?

Thank you in advance.
