Have you attempted sending the publication to a PDF and printing from there?

If you are using 2007, Microsoft has an Add-in
2007 Microsoft Office Add-in: Microsoft Save as PDF or XPS

If you are using 2003 or below, try the registry fix. This is for mail merge.
