I don't see how that would be very secure. If his laptop or PC was stolen,
anyone could then connect to his Exchange server. Most companies when
allowing remote access to their Exchange server challenge the user for their
credentials every time. If this is a possibility and has been done in the
past, then the person's Exchange Admin would be the person to discuss it with.
