There should be tools on the Internet that will do that. UUDWin is one I've
used.

Eye Say, and Lord Gnome Answers

My interactions with Private Eye started in May 1995, shortly after I'd started bleating on usenet. I tried to get the Eye
interested in my case, as I thought they more than anyone have their finger on the pulse, and would surely already know
something about my case. In my first email to them, entitled "pas de bouteille?" (wot no bottle?), I asked if they had the
nerve to publish what was known to many thousands of people. Their email flunky answered;

Bottle? Dunno really - but I've passed your mail on to the Ed for his
consideration.

Re: Counts for Mail Folders

The buttons that would allow me to change the display from unread to total
number of items are grayed out on the public folders. Is it possible to
change settings on public folders?

You yourself said you tried to change it. I'm asking you what exactly you
did.

PCs don't have minds of their own. They do exactly what they are told to
do. So, what exactly does Folder Options say is the command to open types
of type .xls?

So, did you delete the extend.dat file like I said?

Actually "no". If you know people send you attachments that may be
infected, either delete the message without opening the attchment, then save
the attachment to disk so your AV program can scan them when the file is
created. Simply never open an attachment in mail. Problem solved, never a
need to scan the mail itself and never a problem in Outlook because the mail
scanner isn't written correctly or interferes in the timing between Outlook
and the server.

That non-delivery messge usually means you're trying to send an email
through a sending server that doesn't belong to the ISP you're connected to.
Most ISPs will not allow this and will require you to use the sending server
they own. If you changed ISPs when you installed broadband, check with your
new ISP to get the name of the sending server they want you to use.
