The default location is C:\Program Files\Mocrosoft Office\Officexx (where xx
is the number of your Office version). Just double-click on it to launch.

Thanks again Gordon.

Thats a very useful tool and implies exactly what I would have expected. 50
folders and about 5000 items. nothing like that appears when I do in
outlook, File/open data file. for instance none of my old emails appear. In
fact no inbox is imported. If I attempt a import rather than open data file
the mail items dont seem to be there either, but scan pst implies they are.
can I say I am a bit of a outlook novice at this point but have opened all
available trees in the left hand folders pane. Mystified.

Cheers

Stephen

That would imply that you are trying to open/import the wrong pst file!
Check the file size AND the location very carefully before trying to open.
