My suggestion is that you create folders in a new PST file, & manually move
or copy over what you wish, to the new PST file. It's a lot more reliable
than autoarchive and you will always know where your stuff is. Autoarchive
acts on the date an item was last modified.... which isn't always what you
think.

Re burning to a DVD - you can do this, if Outlook is fully closed (double
check in task manager to ensure outlook.exe isn't running) - but you cannot
open a PST file from a read-only medium. You'll need to copy the PST file
back to your HD and remove the read-only attribute
