Right-click on e-mail does not present drop-down list

Author: John Gilkey
Date: Dec 26, 2008 06:33

My problem with Outlook 2007 on an XP SP3 machine started with an error box
that pops up every time I click on an e-mail saying "Could not install
custom action. Object not found." I now find I cannot right-click on an
e-mail and get the drop down list to appear.

I have tried a "Repair" on outlook and have even uninstalled and reinstalled
the application from the add-remove programs app in Control Panel with no
success.

Any thoughts about what will keep the drop-down box from appearing when I
right-click?

Initial login problems via RPC over HTTP...

Author: centre21

I have a problem that has been plaguing me since Microsoft implemented
RPC over HTTP. It seems if I'm on the internal network, I can
configure RPC over HTTP, logon and never have a problem. But if I'm
out of the office and configure RPC over HTTP, my initial logon always
fails. My domain, ID and password are never accepted and I cannot log
into Outlook. Once I go into the office it works just fine and I never
have logon problems again.

Has anyone seen this issue and know why it happens? I've been looking
for an answer for this for 3 years.

Thanks in advance.

I'm sorry to keep posting "new" questions, but on top of having problems with
Outlook, i'm having problems with figuring out how this "Discussion Group"
process works. Every time i open the Discussion Group page, I get a message
that there is no profile for me and so I have to re-create my profile each
time. I see that Peter Foldes has posted as response to my question. Thank
you Peter! However, I cannot get the response to display. When I click on
it, I get the message, "No posts available for this thread. Any suggestions
on what I can do differently?

cannot receive mail outlook express 6

Author: wally

Helping out with a machine that on cable modem service (cox)
was working fine with OE 6. Now, outlook does not want to receive mail.
We have thunderbird installed as a second client and it works fine.
confirmed ports and setup with cox, there fine.

here are some of the error messages:

An unknown error has occurred. Account: 'pop.central.cox.net', Server:
'pop.central.cox.net', Protocol: POP3, Port: 110, Secure(SSL): No, Error
Number: 0x800C0133cure(SSL): No, Socket Error: 11004, Error Number:
0x800CCC0D

The host 'smpt.central.cox.net' could not be found. Please verify that
you have entered the server name correctly. Account:
'pop.central.cox.net', Server: 'smpt.central.cox.net',

Any idea on what could have went wrong with outlook express?
Is a reinstall needed?
how do you reinstall OE only?

Connection problem with 60 day trial

This is a follow-up to a message I sent earlier today. I reveived a
different error message:
Error message: "Outlook Send/Receive Progress"
"Task 'Account A – Sending' reported error ()x800CCC92): Your e-mail server
rejected your login. Verify your user name and password in your account
properties. Under Tools, click E-mail accounts."

I made a change in my password, and that caused something to happen.
Microsoft sent a test message to Account A and that was received by Account
A. I then tried sending a message from Outlook to Account A and a second
test message from Outlook to Account B. Both emails remain in the outbox,
and i get repeated messages called "Enter Network Password" with instructions
to "Type username and password." I have tried clicking OK and Cancel, and I
have tried changing the password, all to no avail.

Any suggestions for a next step?

Thanks
