too many folders in "My Contacts" - Outlook 2007

I have created a number of separate contact folders for various groups of
contacts.
Some of them are old and not in use, but need to be retained.
They are located in various places, including Mailbox, sub-folders of
Contacts, and also in my Personal Folders.
They all show up in the "My Contacts" list when I click on Contacts in the
Navigation Pane.

Is there any way to remove particular folders from the "My Contacts" list?
Thanks in advance

Did you try right-clicking them and selecting Remove from My Contacts?

I don't have such an option in the Context menu. Do you? All I can do is
delete or rename a non-default folder.

Thanks for the suggestion Brian
Yes I did but that option was not available, either in the contacts list (in
the Navigation Panel) or in the folders list. There was no choice that said
"Remove from My Contacts". I can send a screenshot if that helps. I looked
everywhere, including Properties for the folder.

The one I gave you. You cannot remove the folder from that view unless you
remove that folder.

Brian
Do you concur with Russ?
Makes no sense that I should have to see every folder with contacts in it in
the My Contacts list. The right context menu suggestion d/n work.
Thx
