I have just installed Outlook 2007.
I have a Contacts folder with many contacts that I'd like to add to a
Distribution List.
When creating the list, I click on the select members button.
I add members by double clicking on the members name, or clicking the
'Members ->' button. Members names are added to the list underlined. When I
have selected all of my members, I click the 'OK' button in the dialog box.
NONE of the members I selected show up in the Distribution List window unless
they have a primary E-mail address. The problem is that most of my contacts
have an 'E-mail 2' or 'Email-3' address (Home as opposed to work). How do I
get people with only an Email-2 or Email-3 address to show up in a
Distribution List?

You have provided no necessary information. So you just "installed" Outlook
2007. Since you appear already to have a "Contacts Folder," are we to assume
you migrated data to this new installation? If so, how? How did you
configure the Outlook Address Book Service in this new installation?

Imported data from MobileMe (so I sync an iPhone with the PC). Point is yes,
I have a folder(??) called Contacts under the My Contacts tab. I have it
syncing well with MobileMe. I can send emails just fine. Since MobileMe has
tabs for different email addresses (e.g.: Home, Work, Other, custom, etc.)
they translate to E-mail, E-mail 2, E-mail 3, etc. The Distribution List
builder function only seems to want to look at the first E-mail field [in the
contact information] and if it doesn't have an email address there, it won't
add it to the list (even though there is a valid address in the 'E-mail 2'
field. So, is there anyway around this short of screwing up my other
application syncs (Mac, iPhone, MobileMe, Gmail Contacts) by having to re-do
my contacts and put home email addresses...

The Select members dialog does precisely that. It shows you the individual
addresses that you might want to add to the DL, not the Contacts.
Importing from mobile device is quite unlikely to have created valid
Contacts.

So...I'm having the same problem with my list. I've left the Email 1 blank
and entered addresses in to the email 2 because that's where iPhone has
assigned the home email. So I know that the emails listed in email 2 work
because I can click on it from my contact page and send email....but it won't
show up as a valid entry in my standard outlook "address book". I keep
seeing "unresolved address" mentioned in this thread.....the email works
through the contact list, so how does that make it unresolved? and of course
how do i get the addresses that are in the contact to appear in the address
book? people with email 1 and email 2 entries in contacts appear as they
should with seperate line entries in the address book for each email.

I just checked and the presence or absence of E-mail makes no difference in
whether or not E-mail1 and E-mail2 show in the address book. In fact, I can
also have E-mail and E-mail1 blank and E-mail2 will still show.
