Ihad had to move my pst file and run scanpst which may have contributed to
this.

The problem is when I click on a contact the email address goes away while
it is visible when i see a listing of all e-mail addresses.

also when i am writing an e-mail and select to no e-mail addresses are
available, just names

You'll need to provide more information. How did you "move" your file and
what did you do to reconnect it to your Outlook profile when you did? How
did you reconfigure the Outlook Address Book after you moved the file?
Scanpst did not do this. More likely it was end user error.

I just copied the file from one machine to another and changed the file
location the next time outlook loaded. I am sure I am the one who screwed it
up and now need to fix it.

Another problem I have is everytime outlook loads i get 100+ reminders, even
reminders for new e-mail messages.

Don't know where to turn next....

Sorry, but I don't see any more information here. Having nothing else to go
on, I would simply suggest that you follow the well documented and
frequently posted methods for transferring Outlook data properly, then
create a new Outlook profile using those guidelines for migrating data to
the new profile. If you need more help, state more precisely what you have
done to migrate your data.
Take a look at these pages for info on Outlook data backup or transfer:
