importing from excel

following the directions in other posts, I have made great progress and some
of the information i am trying to import to outlook 2002 has come over
properly. however, the email addresses are listed as just a single letter
(the first letter of the address only, not the entire address). How to get
this all imported correctly?

Without any other details = the first question is "what Outlook field did
you map your email address to? (i.e. or )

Correct mapping would be to expand the Email (or Email 2 or Email 3) field
(click on + sign) and then explicitly select the field.
