in importing email addresses from excel to outlook 2002, i ended up with
almost 17,000 empty contacts. when i try to delete them, i get "file is
full" error message. how to delete all these? how to properly import so
this doesn't happen again? thanks!

If you ended up with an additional 17000 empty records, the most likely
cause is that your named range was not set correctly in Excel. The Named
Range should only include the header and data rows/columns you wish to
import - no more - no less.

Alternatively, if you're not familiar with Excel named ranges, just save
your worksheet as a CSV file from within Excel and import the CSV file into
Outlook instead - strongly suggest you manually map all your fields in
either case.

Please see your other msg (Subject: importing from Excel) addressing the
same question and to which I posted a response.
