I do have an answer for this question in case anyone else here is hunting one
- it was hard for me to get it figured out.
The number in the () on the cell phone calendar once it is synced to OUtlook
is the number of years since the original occurence. THerefore, the date you
put in for birthday or anniversary on the contact 'Detail' page is supposed
to be a date of birth or wedding year. This way your calendar will tell you
how old or what year anniversary it is. Of course, the silly thing is some
people I could care less to have that info. A lot of times I meet a
colleague and just want to record the date; it is a nice touch to wish an
unsuspecting person happy birthday. Do I care what year they were born? No
and I am not going to ask either, lol.
So now I understand although it seems a little silly to not have a separate
field for this. I knew Outlook calculated that because I have seen it on
Custom Forms, but to not give you a sync option to not include this field
seems shortsighted.
So mystery solved, I hope this was informative.
Thanks Russ for all your help on this thread and all other MVPs and helpful
readers as always.
