Problem is, my exchange administrator is far from being an Outlook guru
and I can't seem to get any answers from him.

I think you're right about us having Exchange 2007 on the back end,
mainly because he's mentioned upgrading all of our PCs to Outlook 2007.
He's already upgraded one used by us meeting schedulers, but she still
can't schedule recurring meetings if they recur monthly or yearly.
