repeat reminders after dismissed on recurring meetings

Since getting a T-Mobile Dash smartphone, recurring meeting reminders from
the past repeat themselves in Outlook. Let me explain.

If I have a recurring meeting in Outlook (Outlook 2007 SP1, Win XP), on the
day the meeting is to occur I get a meeting reminder from the meeting in the
past, i.e. reminder that's 4 days overdue when in fact the meeting isn't for
another 3 hours. I suspect something happens overnight that synchronizes our
Exchange server and my phone, since the meeting reminders are there in the
morning when I come to work.

It is definitely related to running Windows Mobile 6. I synch with our
Exchange server.

This is a royal pain as my meeting reminder list is never correct and I'm
constantly cleaning it up for meetings that have already occurred.

My IT department here has no clue and hasn't been able to offer any help.

I tried to get help in Microsoft's mobile forum, but to no avail. See the
thread at
http://forums.microsoft.com/WindowsMobile/ShowPost.aspx?PostID=3701959&SiteID=65&mode....

My phone works fine (it does not have repeat reminders), so the problem is
in Outlook on my PC.

Try starting Outlook once with the /cleanreminders command line switch. In
the Start Menu's Run box enter:
Outlook.EXE /cleanreminders

Hit Enter. See if that works for you.

No change. Came in this morning and the recurring meetings that I have later
today showed up (I was actually here at work to see them pop up at 6:08am) as
overdue.
