Old calendar appointments are gone???

Author: ApacheIndian
Date: Aug 23, 2008 16:46

All my old calendar appointments from prior to this past week have
disappeared -- ??? I do auto archive but never before have such recent
appointments (e.g. two weeks ago and beyond) been archived, and I fear that
perhaps they're all lost.

Using the Help feature I tried this:
File>Import and Export>Import from another program or file>Personal Folder
File>... then I Browsed and selected the "archive.pst" file under
C:\Documents and Settings\Andrew\Local Settings\Application
Data\Microsoft\Outlook\archive.pst. Then I hit Next and get this: "This
Personal Folder file (.pst) is already in use in the current profile."

Help please

go to the folder list (ctrl+6) and see if the archive folder is listed. look
in its calendar folder for the missing items.

Thanks for the reply Diane

Doing what you suggested pulled up a green Calendar for me -- but it doesn't
have the missing calendar appointments either.

I just don't understand how they could have disappeared. The only thing
different I did with my PC recently was run a defrag last week.

Help please

So I think I have an idea of what might have happened:
- Checking my green Archived Calendar again, I see that appointments prior
to Nov 2007 are there, but everything from that point till about 2 weeks ago
is gone
- I sync my MS Outlook Calendar with my BlackBerry's calendar
- A few days ago I noticed that my BB had used all of it's internal memory,
and when that happens, I believe it starts deleting stuff -- including
calendar appointments
- A sync with my BB after that point could have deleted everything off of my
PC's Outlook Calendar too (not good)

I'm not sure that this is how it went down but I think it's a possibility.

Surely there has to be a way to restore my Calendar appointments -- ???
Much thanks to anyone who can help.

Hi Milly -- yes, I sync with my BlackBerry -- if you peruse my most recent
post you will see the theory I have -- any input would be greatly appreciated
-- thank you

That is very likely what happened to the appointments. Unless they are in
the deleted items folder or you have a backup, they are gone.

Are you looking at the folder list or the Mail list? Ctrl+6 to open the
folder list view.
