Meeting Request getting canceled automatically

Hi All,

I have a user whose meeting requests get canceled after a certain period of
time. The organizer sends the meeting request and it appears in his calendar.
The attendees respond and the Tracking tab gets updated.

Then, after certain period of time all the attendees get a cancellation mail
and the meeting request disappears from the organizer's calendar. The
cancellation request is found in the user's Sent Items.

Checked delegate permissions and they look fine. Any ideas?

Wow, very interesting. I had a boss that set his messages to
expire after 30 days in a global setting. Then he forgot about
it. I wonder if this would have the same effect? You could
check the following:
- Open the TOOLS menu
- Select OPTIONS
- Click the E-MAIL OPTIONS button
- Click the ADVANCED E-MAIL OPTIONS... button
Is there a check mark next to "Messages expire after: x days"?

I suppose another thing to check would be to Right-Click the
Calendar, Select Properties, and select the AutoArchive tab.
Is there an aggressive archive working against him?

Is there a delegate assigned to this client?

Hi Diane,

The user has a Blackberry. I suspected it could be the Blackberry and sent
service books and IT policies to the user, but that did not solve the issue.
The time it takes for the cancellation to arrive varies from 30 mins to 2 hrs.

If it is the Blackberry, is there anything I need to check in specific?

Thanks for the time.

Hi Nikki,

The user has delegates, but there is only one delegate who has Editor
permissions others have only Reviewer permissions.

I do not think Archive is a problem, because the meeting gets canceled as
opposed to just disappearing from his calendar.

Do let me know incase I need to do anything more?

Thanks..

I'm thinking that the Blackberry is the more likely issue.
