Maximizing Calendar Window (and make it stick)?

When I get an appointment invitation, Outlook will notify me that the
proposed meeting is in conflict with or adjacent to another appointment
already in my Calendar. When I click the Calendar to check what the conflict
or adjacency is, the Calendar window opens up small. I can maximize it
easily, but the next time I'm in this situation, it opens small again. How
can I get it to open in a maximized state and stay that way? Thanks.

try resizing it then closing it and click the conflict button again to
reopen.

I've tried that, as well as holding down Shift when I close the second window
-- neither "stick".
