Invalid users forwarded meeting requests

I have a user here that when she forwards a meeting requests to one specific
person, the message comes back as saying someone else is an invalid user.
This user used to work for us, but doesn't even have a valid Email account on
our system.

We were trying to think of how a meeting request could have been forwarded
to an invalid employee. Would this be because of a rule set up, associated
with the still-valid user that's receiving these requests, on that user's
login in Outlook?

Our organization currently uses Exchange, if that helps at all. Thanks to
anyone who can help!

Was this person a delegate for someone who was invited?

I just had someone check that person's machine, and they didn't have the
now-former employee as a delegate under Tools / Options. I also checked in
Exchange, and there was nothing to the effect of this former employee having
the ability to send messages on this person's behalf, or having access to
their Email through Advanced settings.

Hi Milly:

I Googled "orphaned delegate +outlook" and found a couple of Microsoft
Knowledge Base articles that outline how to fix this issue - this should get
me on the right path.

Thanks for your help!

Marty
