How do I add "Day Numbering" for School days?

My kids work off of a Day 1 thru Day 6 cycle. I'd like to add to my Outlook
2007 calendar a daily "number" for Mon-Fri days with the option to skip
Holidays and other special days such as Achievement Days. Also when there are
snow days, day numbering moves forward one day.

I'm trying to go electronic with my Jan 2008 calendar and this problem came
up. Any ideas for a novice? Thanks!

Outlook doesn't support such cycles natively. You could do it in Excel and
import it - use the weekday formula. See
http://www.outlook-tips.net/howto/everyx.htm for the basic steps needed.
Because you are doing every weekday, the use 1 for the number of days in the
formula.

Before importing, add the day #. After getting the dates, copy and paste
special on the date column to remove the formulas then add 1 -6 to the first
6 subjects, select all 6 and drag to copy.

http://www.outlook-tips.net/howto/countdown.htm uses the drag method to fill
in dates and subjects in a series. The copy method is similar, but you
choose copy cells when filling. :)
