What version of Outlook? You said "Outlook 200", apparently eliding the
final character.

Your choices for coloring calendar entries are limited and controlled by the
"Label" drop-down on the calendar item creation form.

Not in Outlook 2000. The only color coding it has is through the Automatic Formatting dialog for the view settings.

What view are you looking at? This feature applies only to table-type views.

I couldn't recall. It's been too long. I'll stop answering unless I know
for sure the answer applies.

The By Category view is an example of a table view. The Day/Week/Month view is not and does not support automatic formatting.

If you don't know what a table view is, go to your Views menu and display the By Category view.

Maybe you should think about upgrading to Outlook 2003.
