Time scale is 30. The window is big, but that doesn't seem to matter for
other users with same screen & resolution size. I'm stumped!

Did you test it using a non-maximized window? Or a 15 min scale?
The calendar starts at the start of the workday then shows the hours
between the end of the work day and the end of the day (midnight) as window
size permits. If the window is large, it goes backwards from the start of
the day.
