Alerts won't go away when dismissed

This is driving me crazy. I can 'dismiss', 'dismiss all' - makes no
difference. Alerts from days and weeks ago still appear. Does anybody know
how to fix this problem?

Thanks.

I suppose you have already tried starting Outlook one time with the /cleanreminders switch?

I have the same problem, and have tried starting with the
cleanreminders switch, it hasn't helped.

Thanks for making me aware that there is a fix...but I don't know how to
apply it. I tried to find instructions on the MS help site but no luck. FYI I
am not a techie, simply a lowly user.

I also notice that there is a post by someone who used this but it did not
help the problem. Is there a "plan B"?

Thanks,

Plan B - display your calendar by All Appointments - add the "reminders"
column, sort by this column and scroll until you find the errant reminder(s)

Plan C - create a new mail profile.
