RE: Calendar from Excel to Outlook, Reminder On/Off field doesn't work

Author:
Date: Dec 26, 2008 14:05

I was playing around with this and finally discovered what was wrong. I went
into "Map Custom Fields" and the "Reminder On/Off" was not properly mapped.
Now that it is correctly mapped it works fine. I wonder why it wasn't right?
(I'm trying to remember if it even worked before and if IT had monkeyed with
something since then.)

  Event will not delete

Author: czj0jf

I receive the error message below when I open Outlook:

"Cannot turn off the reminder. You may be reminded again. Could not complete
the operation. One or more parameter values are not valid."

I have tried several of the recommendations from previously listed threads
(opening Outlook with commands, etc). None of them have corrected the problem.

This error didn't begin until after a major Microsoft update was added to my
notebook about a week ago.

Your assistance is greatly appreciated.

  Displaying of all day events

Author: Nathan Sokalski
Date: Dec 25, 2008 10:06

I use Outlook Connect to synchronize my Hotmail and Outlook 2003 calendars.
The synchronization seems to work fine, but when Outlook 2003 displays all
day events (such as birthdays) it starts them a day early and spans them
over 2 days (for example, if there was a birthday on December 26, it would
display in Outlook as being spanned over December 25-26). Why is this, and
how can I fix it? Thanks.

Disable archiving on that folder. Right click on the folder and choose
properties. look on the autoarchive tab. If you use exchange server and
archiving is not enabled, speak to the admin - they may clean out old items
using mailbox manager.

  reminders popup in the front

Author: i.am.anand
Date: Dec 24, 2008 11:00

We switched from Groupwise to Outlook but one feature I find lacking
is that the reminders popup for appointments doesn't come to the
"front" of all the other windows. In GW, it would be on top of other
open windows but in Outlook if another window is covering the outlook
window, then popup is not seen

Is there a setting that can fix this?
Thanks

Yes. The auto-archive properties show the files being sent to archive.pst. Is
there a way for me to check if the calendar archive view is looking for data
from the same file? All other components of outlook are archiving correctly.
Thanks for your help.

Don't delete them.
