I am trying to restore a business contact management database after a crash.
When I attempt to restore, I get an error message that a I am not the owner
of the database; any thoughts?

Are you on Vista? If so, run Outlook as Administrator and try
restoring again.

I am the only account on this computer, so I don't know what you mean by
"running outlook as administrator", this is clearly a Vista problem, as I did
not have this problem when I was in XP.

Find Outlook.exe in Windows Explorer. Right-click on it, select menu
item Run as Administrator.

Thank you so very much...I can't believe how difficult the simplest things
can be. You saved me a lot of time and profanity...

I am trying to restore a database to my laptop. I took my database (of which
I am the owner) and restored it onto a desktop. I worked off of that for
several days and backed it up in order to transfer the file and restore the
database back to my laptop. When I try to restore on the laptop I receive
this error message. I had no problem restoring the original file onto my
desktop. However, I cannot take that updated file and load it back on to the
laptop. Please help!
Thanks.

Error message says "Cannot restore this database because you are not the
owner of the database."
I have separate username/passwords for each machine.
Yes, I tried running Outlook as admin on both machines, and still got the
same result.
