hello everybody i wrote this message in english and french because the
support (like the database admin tool) is not the same for the french
version, you will understand when you read.

i guess from your email that you are french, unfortunately the database
admin tool does not support bcm in french, it only works for english version.
so you will have to create the database manually with sql scripts like i did
it a few month ago. but before microsoft release his database admin tool,
they published a procedure to create a database on a sql server: "Deploying
Outlook 2007 with Business Contact Manager in a Remote Database
Configuration" follow the link:
http://blogs.msdn.com/bcm/archive/2007/03/28/database-deployment-whitepaper-revised...

if you want some details, i will be happy to help you

Sorry for my bad english

Hello,

I'm trying deploing Business Contact Manager Database in a sbs2003 R2
context.

I have downloaded the utility "database admin tool" linked.

I'm a beginner with sql 2005 .

So, can you confirm that this utility does not support bcm in french ?
Did you try it ?

I 'm reading the Deploing Oullok 2007 with Business Contact Manager in a
remote Database Configuration guide (pffff it's long)

It seems to be Hard for me.

My BCM is in french.

If i'll make all that is explain in the guide, in the french Db context, it
will be ok ?

What are the points where i must make attention ?

Thanks

I've heard that the BCM database tool is English only. If that's the
case, you should contact your local Microsoft representative and tell
them that translating this into the local language is important to
their customers.

Unfortunaly my employer, a small business, can't carry weight for

I am testing my Database now, my problem seem to be resolved.

First step on the server (sbs2003 in my case)
SQL serveur 2005 sp2 instance name must be called: MSSMLBIZ
I 've tried many many over solution's , i think Business Contact Manager is
locked with that.

Second step (on the computer xp sp3 in my case)
Starting office2007, then crm and create a local database.
(be carefull the sql server express service do not start automatically after
a security update comming newly. you have to
modify the property of the service connection to local system to work
arround)

Third step (on the computer)

Locate the SmallBusiness.mdf and SmallBusiness.ldf files local database
(doc&settings etc....)
copy them on a directory of the destination server. (ex c:\crmdatabase)

Fourth step (on the server)

Start sql server management studio launch the MSSMLBIZ server instance name.
double clic on database then join browse the directory making up
(crmdatabase) and attach it.
