Business Contact Manager shared between employees not in same offi

Date: Sep 9, 2008 08:10

Hello,

Can someone guide me as to how I would setup Business Contact Manager for an
employee to work from home?

I need to be able to share the database with my boss. We both will be
working from our home.

Would we need to setup a server or is there an online feature that will
allow this?

Any information would be helpful. Thank you in advance!

There isn't an online service to do that, today. With all the noise
Microsoft has been making about services in the cloud I expect BCM'll
provide an online sync service in the future.

What has worked for some user is putting the BCM database on a server,
connecting the server to the internet, and then running VPN software
to connect remote PCs to the BCM database.

Hi Luther,

Total newbie here: what is VPN software?

Also, do you know of a hosting company that would allow us to put the BCM
database on a server? Or is it easier to set one up yourself?
