Hi all:
I have my contacts or address book on a V file(s) in My Documents. I want
to transfer or import them to my contact list in Microsoft Outlook. How can
I accomplish this feat? Please, I’m an old man and not that computer
literate but learning.
Thank you.
WENZO

There is a way to do this. Go to 'Tools-->Trust Center-->Add-ins.'
High-light 'Business Contact Manager for Outlook' then select 'COM Add-in'
in the 'Manage drop-down list' and press the 'Go button.' In the dialog that
follows uncheck 'Business Contact Manager for Outlook' and press the 'OK
button.' Restart Outlook and the toolbar should be gone. Finally right click
the file that 'Business Contact Manager for Outlook' created in your 'All
Mail Items' list and select 'Close.' Outlook should now be back to where it
was before you activated 'Business Contact Manager for Outlook.' If in the
future you want to use the BCM simply reverse the process.

Hi Raul,
Thanks for your reply.
The problem with the solution you recommended is that the contact that is
created is created with the fields from Outlook, not Business Contact
Manager. (In other words, there are a number of fields which are available in
a BCM contact that aren't available in a standard Outlook contact.)
Any ideas how to work around this problem?
Thanks
Jeff

How do I get active tasks only to display under project tasks. I have tried
setting the filter to Status = waiting on someone else. Status = Not started.
and Status = In progress.
It continues to revert to the previous setting.

Look for .ldf and .mdf under C:\Documents &
Setting\ \Local settings \Application data \ Microsoft
\Business contact manager

Is it possible to change the defaults for any of these in BCM?
In particular, when creating a new Project Task I'd like the default Start
Date to be Today instead of "Not Started" . . .

We have recently installed BCM with outlook 2007.
We have noticed category information being added to accounts to which it
does not belong - (Definitely NOToperator error). Any ideas?
