Unable to open a side note in OneNote using Windows + N

I have bought and installed Office Home and Student 2007 and I am trying to
learn to use OneNote 2007. I have a notebook computer with XP Home edition
installed and I find that I cannot open the Side Note window in this
computer, but it opens perfectly in my other notebook computer which has
Vista Premium Home edition. Has anyone any suggestions?

See if the taskbar has a OneNote icon on it. If not, click tools \ options \
other and check the box for "Place OneNote icon in the notification area of
the taskbar."

Does that help?
