Section groups and organizing 2007

I have a huge batch of screenshots for organizing one note 03. I tried to
follow that but realized, I can only have a notebook and one set of file
folders for it. After that is is only pages. If I use a lot of notebooks, I
can only drill down one set of folders and then I am back to only pages.
This seems a little restrictive. What are others doing? I am taking a class
and have multiple folders I want to use but they now have to be notebooks. I
can make one set of folders in each notebook. Suggestions anyone?
I also am not finding any information on "section group". What is that used
for? I don't see that at all on the help on Microsoft and on the laminated
one note introduction I recently purchased. I seem to be missing the
greatness of this program somehow.
Thanks...

Think of it like this:

Sheets of paper inside manila folders,
manilla folders inside hanging file folders,
hanging file folders inside drawers.

You don't need the manilla folders inside the hanging file folders if you
don't need that level of organization. You might use them for organizing
some things but not others.

OneNote has:

Pages inside sections,
sections inside section groups, and
Section group inside notebooks.

You can nest several section groups inside each other for further
organization, but you don't have to use them at all.

So try inserting a section group under a notebook. Under the section group,
you can add sections, to which you will have pages, or you can add another
section group. I think this will add the "depth" you are looking for.

Hope this helps.

In OneNote 2007, Section Groups work as a top-level section. I use it this
way --

I keep a Journal in a OneNote notebook. In that one notebook, I have
several section groups labeled for each year (2008, 2007, 2006, etc). Within
each section group are sections for each month (January, February, March,
etc). Within each section are pages for my entries, and I can have
innumerable pages.

So it breaks down into this:

Notebook (Journal) -->Section Group (2008) --> Section (September) --> Pages
(9/1, 9/2, 9/3)
