Trying to get back to Goordon, I could not get a reply button for your
prebious note.

I have tried Custom and Typical both befroe I went in exasperation to Office
XP. Then, with Offcie XP installed, I went to Upgrade.

The problem files to which I referred eariler are
Proofing.enus\Proof.es\Proof.cab.,
and, Proofing.en-us\Proof.msi .

On the install, one can not get the installwer to drill into the Proofing
folder.

This issue goes as far back as March 2008 in this forum, and I found in
forums on the web, that some people had actually goje out and bought Office
2007 in the box and then been unable tio install it.

Any help will be appreciated.

I think you meant to post this in the .OFFICE or .OUTLOOK newsgroup.
