Audio Recording during lectures

I use my computer during lectures to record them and then take notes in
onenote at the same time but my typing sounds get recorded as well. Is there
anyway to just record my professor and not my typing sounds?

external microphone, not the one built into laptop, to get the mic far away
from typing (and preferably close to professor)

Yes, I've rarely found a built-in microphone to be effective for
recording others. Sometimes if I want to record an audio note to myself
it's o.k., but the rest of the time I would rather use an external for
recording meetings.
