WMP11 - Cannot get the most simple display : list of filenames in the file list

Author: jm.almeras
Date: Jan 29, 2010 10:36

Hello,

I am sorting out music files, and I need a player where i can have a very
simple display : the list of filenames which i have enqueued in the file
list, and perhaps the classic player buttons at the top or at the bottom.
With WMP it seems impossible to display the filenames, and to get rid of
certain parts of the screen.
I tried the Helpfile, and the FAQ on the MS site, but no success
Can anyone help, or point to me a simple online user manual ?
Thank you
Jean-Marie

WMP lowers bitrate when syncing wma files

I have the options on the sync tab set to use highest quality (192k)
when syncing, but when I sync wma files it still downgrades then to
128k. Why? I don't want it to do that, and the option is set to 192k

I...... "all of a sudden" play a movie in windows media centre 11 and can not
get out as there is no options to get out......in full screen!! Ctrl Alt Esc
will not work as any other keystrokes will not work. Every video I start goes
into this "fit screen with no options" I have to force shut down to get out!!
I am stumped where the option is for the 100%%, 200%% 150%% and so on with
buttons to get out of your window! Please help!

Merry X-mas and happy holidays all! Rick

It's added slowly in the background so it doesn't cause performance
stutters. You can force it do it THEN by using WMP's Tools:Apply Media
Information menu tool. =)

Note that it if can't write to the file at all, that might be a problem with
the file.

What's the current aspect ratio? WMP doesn't distort aspect ratios, if
that's what you're asking about.

  Basic Ripping Question

Author: PT
Date: Sep 21, 2008 04:39

WMP 11 WinXP Home.

I want to rip tracks from my CD with a view to then loading the MP3 files
onto my SanDisk player.

I load the disk in the drive, and ask WinMP to rip. it does so, and creates
a set of mp3 files - one per track

But about a year ago i did this, and ended up with .wma files.

Apparently the Sandisk player has no trouble playing them.

Please explain - which should i be ending up with, and how do I determine
the output?

  MP3 to MIDI

Author: RAH
Date: Sep 20, 2008 00:28

Is there anything in WMP that would convert an MP3 file to a MIDI
file? I have done a lot of searching today for a program that would
do that that doesn't cost an arm and a leg. Can't find anything that
converts to MIDI's. I just want to create a MIDI ringtone from an MP3
file. Would it help if I converted the MP3 to something else first?
I'm hoping there is something in the Microsoft family that would work.
