I'm playing a movie clip and then I choose to DELETE it.
But the option DELETE is grayed out? How can I allow Media Player to delete
the file within Media Player?

My library options are set to allow delete..my network sharing is set to
allow DELETE. Everything seems correct., yet I cant delete the file through
MEDIA PLAYER.

  2 Media Players at Once?

Author: Bryan
Date: Aug 19, 2008 05:22

I would like to listen to MP3 music files in one media player, while
watching silent videos in another media player. I was able to do this in XP
by using Media Player 6.4. But now that I'm in Vista, I have lost this
functionality. Is there a good work-around?

Thanks,
Bryan

  why does IWMPPlayer2::put_windowlessVideo always fail?

Hi everyone:
in my application, i want to design an activex control, this control is
dialog based. And i inesert WMP into this dialog as an activex control. In my
application, i need to change UIMode of this control. Whenever WMP enter full
screen mode, we need to set WMP's UIMode to full, so that user can control
his palying. and when WMP enter no-fullscreen mode, we need to set WMP's
UIMode to none. This control is used to be embedded into IE. In webpage, we
have UI to control my control through javascript.I realise my control by
WMP's double click event. But my control has different behavior in different
system. In XP system, it responds to double click event, despite WMP's
version from 9 to 11, and IE's version from 6 to 7. But in Vista, it does
not. I believe this is not...

WMP clashes with ATI multimedia center

Author: Paul Stone

I have an ati tv-wonder card that I use to capture audio and video
with. I found that since WMP 9.0, it (ATIMMC) won't work. I've
resisted and sat on WMP 8.0 which didn't have an issue. Now with XP,
patch 3, apparently you HAVE to upgrade to 11.0 and again, I have the
clash. Anyone know of a way to have both installed or should I
uninstall XP service pack3 and go back to WMP 8 (if I possibly can)

  distortion only with windowsmedia.com/radiotuner

I'm using Vista Home Premium (SP1) with the Sigma Tel High defination Audio
CODEC driver (version 6.10.5515).

When I listen to stations via windowsmedia.com/radiotuner there is a lot of
very audible distortion. I thought it was the speakers, but when I switch
to say http://www.live365.com/ and listen to music from the pop up window
that link provides, it sounds just fine.

I have now ruled out the audio driver and the speaker system; can I now
assume this issue is just between me and my IP? ... or not?

Thanks, Dave Horne

Cant see video or hear audio???

Author: confused in SD
Date: Aug 17, 2008 17:46

I have had issues with my WMP for some time now. I can not see to see video
or audio on the internet with WMP. I am curretnly using WMP 10 but had 11
and was experiencing the same problem. When I right click and check the
error it states that I need to connect to the internet. How can this be if I
am all ready on the internet when trying to view the media player? I have
removed and reinstalled on several occasions as well as downloaded all the
appropriate codecs from the MS webesite. Any suggestions as to what the
problem is?

7.0 won't play streaming video with WMP

Author: Michael_Charlotte

I just purchased a new PC from Dell which came with Vista and IE 7.0
Everytime I click on any streaming video from the web I get this error msg in
WMP Version 11.0.

WMP cannot play the file bc. the specified protocal is not supported. If
you typed a URL in the Open URL dialog box, try using a diff. transport
protocal for example, http or rtsp.
