  Java Works - sometimes

Folks,

I am having some trouble with getting Java applets to work. For example

I do a lot of weather research using The National Weather Service web
site as well as Intellicast, WeatherUnderGround, and Weather.com.

I can get the weather radar to loop in some of the NWS products but not

from the other sites. The Java symbol will appear as the applet loads
then the weather chart will work (i.e. a series of radar loops will
animate the screen) but on some sites I can not get the chart to loop
(animate.)

I am using Windows XP (SP2) and I have Java 1.5.0_10 installed and in
IE 6 [Tools][Internet Options][Advance] I have the Java box checked.
Under [Tools][Internet Options][Security] I have the Java box checked
and the security level set to low.

Any idea what I can do to troubleshoot my system in order to get Java
to work correctly?

Thanks in advance for your help.

Rick

stating that i need vm on computor before I update it. I'm tired of windows
update telling me updates are ready to be installed but its the same update.

Help needed on the JVM with IE

I'm running IE Release 6.0.2900 on Win XP professional SP2. When I
access the http://java.com website, the online installation Verification
utility confirms I 'm running the latest version of the Sun JVM (and the
small coffee cup icon appears on the bottom right of the screen). Yet,
on the same website but in French (java.com/fr) where an online
installation Verification utility is also available, the utility cannot
detect my JVM after several trials.

I browsed the site seemydesign.com, which is sponsored by java.com, the
site server displays that I don't have the JVM on my computer, while, on
another java.com endorsed website, meez.com, the JVM is recognized and
actually runs applets.

  Multiple applets

Author: Anganiel

Hi,

I've got one big problem with Internet Explorer (version 6 and 7 too) and
applets. I've got applet on remote device, which controls it. There can be
more than one device. The problem is, when I want to open the applets from
two or more different devices at same time. The Internet explorer use the
first opened window (with the first applet) and reuse it to open the second
applet.

Is there some way how to open each applet in its own window and operate two
or more of them at same time?

Thanks.
